IC 59 IC 63 from my own backyard
In 2013, I captured images of the reflection nebula IC 59 and the emission nebula IC 63, both situated in the constellation Cassiopeia, near the bright star γ Cassiopeiae (Gamma Cas). These two nebulae form a striking pair — delicate wisps of blue reflection light mingling with reddish hydrogen emission, shaped by the intense radiation from the nearby star.
Data calibration and registration, as well as the final image processing, were all performed using PixInsight.

The images were taken with the following equipment:
- Date: 2014
- Location: Krefeld, Germany
- Telescope: 10″ Newton ohne Namen
- Focal length [mm]: 1000
- Focal ratio: 3.9
- Mount: Losmandy G11
- Camera: Moravian FW8300
- Filter: R:G:B:Hα:[OIII]
- Exposure time [min]: 75:75:75:120:100
- Resolution: 1.11″/px
