Messier 8 (NGC 6523 – The Lagoon Nebula)
Messier 8 is an emission nebula located in the constellation Sagittarius. I imaged the Lagoon Nebula three times during holidays in Namibia, most recently 2008, during a stay at the astrofarm Tivoli.
Data calibration and registration was done with DeepSkyStacker, the the final processing was done with PixInsight. The result was as follows:

In 2006 I also imaged Messier 8 during my first stay at the astrofarm Tivoli.
