Messier 1 (NGC 1952 – The Crab Nebula) from my own backyard and remote
The Crab nebula M1 is a supernova remnant and located in the constellation Taurus.
In 2015 I took the latest pictures of this object from my own backyard. The data calibration and registration and the final processing was done with PixInsight. The result was as follows:

In this image you can find some quasars. The one with the highest redshift is:
WISEA J053434.35+220313.6 with a redshift of 2.20.
The images were taken with the following equipment:
- Date: 2015
- Location: Krefeld, Germany
- Telescope: 10″ Newton ohne Namen
- Focal length [mm]: 1000
- Focal ratio: 3.9
- Mount: Losmandy G11

- Filter: R:G:B:Hα:[OIII]
- Exposure time [min]: 60:60:55:120:130
- Resolution: 1.12″/px
In 2011 I also took images of M1 from myown backyard and combined then with data from the no longer existing remote observatory Lightbuckets in New Mexico. The data calibration and registration was done with DeepSkyStacker and the final processing was done with PixInsight. The result was as follows:

The first succesful images of this object I took in 2009 from my own backyard. The data calibration and registration was done with DeepSkyStacker and the final processing was done with PixInsight. The result was as follows:
