Messier 59 (NGC 4621), Messier 60 (NGC 4649) – VdS Remote Hakos – 12″
As a member of the VdS remote observatory group, I have the opportunity to use the VdS remote observatory in Hakos, Namibia. You are allowed to process your own data obtained there as well as the data of other users.
In this case I use my own data for the result.
The result shows the elliptical galaxies Messier 59 and Messier 60 located in the constellation Virgo. Both galaxies are members of the virgo cluster.
Data calibration and registration and the final processing was done with PixInsight. (Please also have a look at my result with the Tak).
In the image you can find several asteroids.
43229 2000 AD174 with a magnitude of 18.09 mag.
123590 2000 XT45 with a magnitude of 19.58 mag.
131160 2001 CQ21 with a magnitude of 19.22 mag.
There are also very many quasars in the image. The most distant of them is:
SDSS J124300.34+113554.6 with a redshift of 2.947 an apparent magv of 19.56 (SDSS DR17).
