Messier 30 (NGC 7099) – VdS Remote Hakos
As a member of the VdS remote observatory group, I have the opportunity to use the VdS remote observatory in Hakos, Namibia. You are allowed to process your own data obtained there as well as the data of other users.
In this case I use the data of Kai-Oliver Detken for my result.
The result shows the globular star cluster Messier 30 located in the constellation Capricornus. Data calibration and registration and the final processing was done with PixInsight.
Left, near the bottom, you can find the asteroid 109214 2001 QJ85 with a magnitude of 18.77 mag.
There are also a lot of quasars in the image. The most distant of them is:
WISEA J214101.85-230114.0 with a redshift of 2.7 an apparent magv of 19.4 (SDSS DR17).
