Jones Emberson 1 (VV47) from my own „Sterntaucher“ observatory and remote
Jones Emberson 1 is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Lynx.
I imaged this nebula in 2019 from my own observatory and coincidentally, the same object was imaged by the DSW observatory in the same year, where I had currently subscribed to data.
Data calibration, registration and the final processing of my own data was done with PixInsight. The RGB Data was upscaled to the luminance data. Hα+[NII] was assigned to the red channel and OIII to the green and blue channel. The result was as follows:
Jones Emberson 1

The faintest star in my image has an apparent magnitude of 20.4 magG (DSSR 15).
The two highest redshift quasars [Flesh 2015] in the image are:
SDSS J075910.78+533132.4 z=1.13 magG=18.0 (Gaia DR2)
SDSS J075832.61+533058.8 z=0.58 magG=18.7 (Gaia DR2)
The images were taken with the following equipment:
- Location: Krefeld, Germany
- Telescope: 10″ Newton ohne Namen – TSQ-65ED Apo
- Focal length [mm]: 1000 – 420
- Focal ratio: 3.9 – 6.5
- Mount: Skywatcher EQ8
- Camera: Moravian G2 8300 FW – QSI 583WS
- Filter: L:Hα:[OIII] – R:G:B
- Exposure time [min]: 100:370:425 – 180:190:170
- Resolution: 1.11″/px – 2.63″/px
