IC 1613 – VdS Remote Hakos
As a member of the VdS remote observatory group, I have the opportunity to use the VdS remote observatory in Hakos, Namibia. You are allowed to process your own data obtained there as well as the data of other users.
In this case I use data from Kai-Oliver Detken and Martin Nischang for the result.
The result shows the irregular dwarf galaxy IC 1613 located in the constellation Cetus.
Data calibration and registration and the final processing was done with PixInsight.
In the image you can also find some galaxies and very many quasars. The most distant of them is:
SDSS J010544.76+015410.5 with a redshift of 3.043 and an apparent magv of 22.1 (SDSS DR17).
The faintest star in the image has an apparent magnitude of more than 23 magv (SDSS DR17).
