ACO 2151 (Hercules Cluster) from my own backyard
In May 2016, I captured images of the Hercules Galaxy Cluster (Abell 2151), located in the constellation Hercules. This rich cluster contains dozens of galaxies, including spirals, ellipticals, and irregulars, packed into a relatively compact region of the sky. Its diversity of galaxy types and interactions makes it an intriguing and rewarding deep-sky target.
Data calibration, registration, and final image processing were all performed using PixInsight.

In the image you can find very many galaxies.
The faintest star in the image has an apparent magv of 19.8 (SDSS DR17).
The images were taken with the following equipment:
- Location: Krefeld
- Telescope: 10″ Newton ohne Namen
- Focal length [mm]: 1000
- Focal ratio: 3.9
- Mount: Losmandy G11
- Camera: Moravian FW8300
- Filter: R:G:B
- Exposure time [min]: 120:120:120
- Resolution: 1.14″/px
