IC 342 from my own „Sterntaucher“ observatory
In 2018 I took some images from the galaxy IC 342, located in the constellation Camelopardalis. For L and Hα I used my 10” Newtonian telescope, while I took the RGB images with the small Apo.
Data calibration and registration and the final processing was done with PixInsight. The RGB Data was upscaled to the luminance and narrowband data. The result was as follows:

The image shows some quasars. The most distant of them is:
WISEA J034923.22+680344.2 with a redshift of 3.1 and an apparent magv of 18.3 (SDSS DR17).
The faintest star in the image has an apparent magnitude of 20.6 magv (SDSS DR17).
The images were taken with the following equipment:
- Location: Krefeld, Germany
- Telescope: 10″ Newton ohne Namen – TSQ-65ED Apo
- Focal length [mm]: 1000 – 420
- Focal ratio: 3.9 – 6.5
- Mount: Skywatcher EQ8
- Camera: Moravian G2 8300 FW – Moravian G3 16200 FW
- Filter: L:Hα – R:G:B
- Exposure time [min]: 370:110 – 180: 230:330
- Resolution: 1.11″/px – 2.95″/px
